Karl Ruthsatz (39), day laborer, listed with wife Bertha (37), stepdaughter Martha Schivon (11), stepson Oscar Schivon (10), daughter Frida Ruthsatz (7). Bertha's and Martha and Oscar's father's birthplace is listed as "Poland Germany." Karl and Bertha had been married for 3 years, and Bertha had given birth to 2 children, both still living.

Carl Rutsatz (49), setter/tannery, listed with wife Bertha, daughters Martha Schiwon (21?) and Frieda Rutsatz (17). Martha did machine work in a glove factory and Frieda was a crater in a chair factory. Carl immigrated 1883 and was naturalized. Bertha immigrated 1880 and had given birth to 3 children, but only two still lived.

George Peterman (30), laborer in shoe factory, listed with wife Martha (30), and sons Norman (7), Leslie (5) and Delworth (2). All born in Wisconsin. George's parents born Germany, and Martha's in Pommern (Germany).

24 June 1948 (Thurs), Obituary for Oscar H. Schiwan:
Oscar H. Schiwan, 2318 S Ninth street, passed away at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital this morning following a lengthy illness. He was born in this city August 3, 1890, the son of Joseph and Bertha Schiwan, attended Immanuel Lutheran school, and was confirmed with the class of 1904. Mr. Schiwan was married to Miss Olga Mierrow, June 20, 1914. The couple always lived in this city. He was employed at the Armour Leather company for 39 years, the past nine as supervisor. Survivors are his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Alex (Beatrice) Suprick and Mrs. Henry (Delores) Kober, both of this city; two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. George Peterman of this city, also survive. Funeral services will be held at the Ramm Funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. H.H. Wegner will officiate, and burial will be made in the family lot in the Lutheran cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from this evening at 7:30 o'clock until the time of the services.

19 August 1948 (Thurs) Obituary for Mrs. Martha Petermann:
Mrs. Martha Petermann, 60, wife of George R. Petermann, 1829 Arizona avenue, passed away this morning. She was born in Sheboygan on June 30, 1888, the daughter of Joseph and Martha Schiwon. She attended the Immanuel Lutheran school and was confirmed with the class of 1901. On June 25, 1910 she was married to George R. Petermann by the late Rev. J. Burger of Immanuel Lutheran chruch. The couple always made their home in Sheboygan. The deceased was a kind and loving wife and mother, devoted to her family. The survivors include her husband, eight sons, Norman, Lesley, Delworth, George, Jr., and Carlton of Sheboygan, Elger, Lloyd and Allen at home. Six grandchildren also remain. Her only brother, Oscar Schiwon, died on June 24, 1948. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday witht he Rev. F.A. Brauer of Trinity Lutheran church officiating in the absence of the Rev. Herbert Bouman of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be made in Lutheran cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 8 o'clock this evening to the time of services.
