Gusta Peterman (38), widow, listed with children Henry (15), Gretchen (13), George (10), Eddie (7), and Alma (5). Henry was a laborer in a brewery, while Gretchen, George and Eddie were "at school." All the children were born in Wisconsin with both parents born in Germany. Gusta's immigration date was 1874.

19 August 1948 (Thurs) Obituary for Mrs. Martha Petermann:

Mrs. Martha Petermann, 60, wife of George R. Petermann, 1829 Arizona avenue, passed away this morning. She was born in Sheboygan on June 30, 1888, the daughter of Joseph and Martha Schiwon. She attended the Immanuel Lutheran school and was confirmed with the class of 1901. On June 25, 1910 she was married to George R. Petermann by the late Rev. J. Burger of Immanuel Lutheran chruch. The couple always made their home in Sheboygan. The deceased was a kind and loving wife and mother, devoted to her family. The survivors include her husband, eight sons, Norman, Lesley, Delworth, George, Jr., and Carlton of Sheboygan, Elger, Lloyd and Allen at home. Six grandchildren also remain. Her only brother, Oscar Schiwon, died on June 24, 1948. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday witht he Rev. F.A. Brauer of Trinity Lutheran church officiating in the absence of the Rev. Herbert Bouman of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be made in Lutheran cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 8 o'clock this evening to the time of services.

Their vital records database includes Peterman/Petermann listings in pre-1907 Wisconsin Vital Records Index (note that in this index birth records S counties are mixed up - StCr = Sheboygan Co. and Sheb = StCroix Co. and no marriages were indexed for Sheboygan Co. I was told they were indexing alphabetically by county and ran out of money part way through Racine.)
